Specifically the view of it from the outside though, like the in-canon “lore” of it.Ĭause while it really doesn’t play a big part in any of the main works I want to do, it’s something I have put thought into and I find it interesting. Mmmm been thinking about basement stuff again. I honestly hope you enjoyed reading this, everyone had neat little headcanons about the characters :) I'd also like to say Apollyon being able to defeat Delirium is perfectly normal within this canon, as Isaac VS Isaac and ? Vs ? happens. I don't believe either of them are entirely evil, but they are definitely symbolic of the end of Isaac. He also seems to be liquid like, so possibly he solidifies to become Apollyon(the only "stable" form of his). The way he is unlocked is to defeat Mega Satan, and all his unlocks are relating to the Apocalypse (including Tainted Apollyon, who's main gimmick is the locust) which Delirium is the end of Isaac, and locust and the horsemen are part of the end of everything.ĭelirium is shown to shape-shift, it's his whole thing.

Since Void is where Delirium is found, and the only way to unlock it for other characters is to defeat Delirium. In January it hit me to why Apollyon must be so different from the other kids, what if he isn't even one of them, what if he's Delirium?Īpollyon starts off with the Void, an item very much related to Delirium. His unlock says "The Destroyer" instead of Apollyon. I shall explain my bullshit headcanon/theory(?) about Apollyon.įrom the moment I unlocked Apollyon, I knew something was up with him. Hi I've been thinking about this for a very long time, and some of you may have seen it included in my art.
